There isn't a way as of yet unless you use BootCamp or Parallels/Fusion, and use Live Messenger within that. Microsoft says they're close to releasing an updated Messenger:Mac with new A/V protocols that's cross platform compatible.. let's hope Messenger:Mac can finally catch up to the Windows counterpart.

Mercury Messenger does video chat, but the client is ugly as :P

Use it for video and nothing else.

The server seems to have stopped working, does anyone have a link to another server which contains the MSN Transport?

It's still working for me!

What has gone wrong, is that the SSL certificate has expired (the folks at jabber.linuxlovers.at have not gotten around to getting it updated). Go to the jabber prefs in iChat and UNTICK the "Use SSL" box. Make sure you are using port 5222. You should connect now.

Though I did not have the problem, a mate of mine (Nicholas Pyers) did, he has come up with this fix.

fantastic! got this working without too much hassle

to fix the name issue i've just been (in iChat) right clicking the user name -> show profile - then manually editing the address card and viola!

anyone have the 2 smilies files on their computers? the files up there don't work???
