Different desktop pic for each space?

Anyone know if you can have different desktop pics for each space?

I have them setup so that i have my photo editing apps in one space
and i like to work with a neutral grey desktop pic when ending photos
but other times id like nice photo

any ideas?

nope, you can't yet.

I'm sure it's not far away though (probably via third party first)

Gah, that's one of the things that bugged me about VirtueDesktops, it's a really good visual indication of "space" you're in.

I don't have leopard - how do you know what space you're currently using?

You can set it to display the space number in the menu bar. You can also use F8 to display all spaces at once.

Or you can assign your apps to always open in a particular space, so you always know where you are

Desktop Manager does the spinny cube (although only horizontal). Perhaps that can work in tandem with Spaces...?

I would like to see individual desktop pictures as well as individual docks for each space...I want to be able to have 5 apps open in one space and not have them distract me in another space with 5 different apps open on the dock...I am sure these options will come in time...
