I really like the idea of assigning mouse buttons thanks for that! I didn't like the sideways scroll for spaces because I use that on my pissy 13" macbook for finder windows zoomed excel or word etc. I instead made it scroll button to change spaces to the right. This is good for say 4 spaces 'click click click'. Also really like most things here so thanks so much!

It took me a while to find out if you want to send a file to someone by email you just drag it onto the mail icon in the dock. quite sad because by the time i'd realised it I had already created an automator to right click when this was 10x easier.

There's also the "Services" sub-menu for all Applications that's been there forever and is always forgotten. Select some text and see what you can do with it

Go to the finder window of the stack. Create a new folder and add any icon you like for it, say you want to change the downloads stack to show the folder instead of the first item, so steal the icon from the actual downloads folder and use it for the new folder. Name the new folder anything you like...lets say 'Downloads' but here is the trick...put a space in front of the D. So you have (with a space instead of an underscore); '_Downloads'.

Your problem is solved until Apple fixes this

How does one do this?

Keep up the great tips! Really helps since I have Leopard running on my new MBA!

There used to be a way to promote the services menu item to the menubar and even add it to the contextual menu. Maybe there still is, just don't have the time to google it right now.
