Hmmmm just when I thought all was rosy, I decided to test out the airport card in my 24" iMac (one b4 aluminium). I had taken the iMac off airport wireless connection back to wired a couple of weeks ago. I upgraded to leopard last on friday (along with a jillion others !) and now when I go to turn on the airport on it says "No Airport Card Installed". WTF ? System profiler also show no card installed. Could my card just have have barfed it and the upgrade to Leo just be a co-incidence, or has Leo killed it somehow ?Or is it Applecare time ?
BTW, I did an upgrade install - not an archive and install (which I am now tempted to do......)
Cheers,
A bit of digging around came up with the solution: http://discussions.apple.com/thread....52381
Seems there is a bodgy kernel extension left over from 10.4.... just remove AppleAirport2.kext from the System/Library/extensions folder..... as soon as I removed it the airport card kicked into life and connected to my network. Phew!

Is Exposé still in Leopard?
It's one of my Favourite features and I probably use it 100's of times a day!

I like the spacey theme to it (hmm could it be cuz I'm a Stormtrooper?), but it does seem much nicer than 10.4, but hey I'll have more to say about it the longer I play with Leopard.

So is Mac OS X now fully universal, i.e. no longer separate installs for Intel & PowerPC?

That's a negatory jdub, the beachball lives.
Although, it would be nice to have more control on the mouse pointer's appearance like Windows does.

I've been using Leopard for over a month now. The only improvement I see over Tiger is its Network improved capabilities. That's all!!!

I guess that's kinda true.
I installed it last night, and after a while, the WOW wore off.
It's more or less the same, but with a few new bells and whistles.
It's not exactly a super duper revolutionary new way to use your computer or anything. Although it's made it more neat, pretty and convenient looking.
Much like Vista is to XP.

My copy is installing on my MacBook right how. Seems to be taking ages to check the DVD for consistency!

I skipped that part, figured if it's brand new out of the box, it shoudl theoretically be in perfect condition, so why check consistency.
You would think if there is something wrong during install, Mac should have the fits and stop installing or something.
