I have pretty much gone from MS Office to Neo Office which I find does the same and now more by being able to open the MS docx format files and a hell of a lot better than the crap that MS puts out to do it with.

(sorry if this is a stupid question)
Have just had a look at the Neo site, which download would be better Neo Office 2.1 or Neo Office 2.1 via BitTorrent? Thanks

We only use Neo Office here too.
Download the normalone, unless you have a bit torrent client. They're the same file, just different delivery.

Another strong vote for NeoOffice here.
It does everything I need an office app to do, but the main deciding factor is it does bullets and numbering- Even bullets imbedded in numbers and vice versa. This is the one feature that I CAN NOT get Word to do properly. It ends up doing whatever shit it wants to do after about the third bullet - NeoOffice seems to do what I want.
Can't wait tl a native version of OOo.

NeoOffice is great. I create ms office compatible files (xls, doc) almost daily and no problems with interoperability.

Arkenstone is on the money, Neo does what YOU want it to do. I used to use it for everything until I got iWork. If only NeoOffice was faster, it would be pretty close to perfect.

Which one takes up the most disk space? (I think the answer might be obvious )
I'm currently using MS Office but I would be happy to dump it if I'd save buckets of space. I didn't pay for it but it's a legit install using my bro in-laws company copy.

I only use MS Office because I got it for cost of postage thru the MS Home Use Program courtesy of working in the APS. If you work for someone that has a volume licensing with MS for Windows or Office you might be able to get in on the HUP. I'd probably go with Neo Office if I couldn't get a cheap copy of MS Office.

Office is so far overrated that they continue to release that POS flawed in many ways, but that is what we are Microsoft beta testers... only difference we have to pay for the privilege! NeoOffice with cause you less worries and you can donate some cash if you feel like it.

For most general purposes, Neo Office will do the job nicely.

I use iWork primarily but I have been using Neo for spreadsheets increasingly as it seems to open faster than Excel on my Mac Book.
If I didn't get the use of MS Office through volume licensing I doubt I would have shelled for it.

Don't buy MS office...crap software I have come to realise it is...
Aside from Open Office and Neo Office, there are a few others out there for free as well. I do however, highly recommend iWork (wait til after Aug 7th though to see if we get a new one) with Pages and Keynote...if you pass up Keynote for Powerpoint you are a silly silly person, by far the BEST presentation software around!
