iDVD

Does anyone know how to make a simple movie with iDVD without all Apples fancy music and themes?
Im also getting this error
Your project exceeds the maximum content duration. To burn your DVD, change the encoder setting in the Project Info window to Best Quality.

I have a blank DVD+R in the computer so that should be fine.

I have an AVI file that i would like to burn.

Cheers

Go into the "Map" in iDVD and drag the file into the play now area.

Depends what type of avi it is. Raw avi should work fine but not so sure about some of the compressed avi formats

It does accept them. It said go into the "project info" and select "best quality" not "best performance" to decrease the size of the file. I would have thought best performance would yield more capacity.

Interesting, a MacWorld review says it does, and about 30 user reviews says it's picky as all hell, and even if it does work it's patchy at best. Dodgy.
