Question Opening .rar files
Can anyone recommend any software download that opens .rar files?

UnRarX works OK. Another one called The Unarchiver is also good. Split & Concat is good for multi-part rar archives.

Thanks - ok. It seemed to work with Stuffit - but I can't find the files? I've got the thing to open and it says its putting the files on my desktop but they aren't there - where could they be going?

They may be going into your documents folder. Have a look in there.

No - not there - I don't know where they could be - the .rar contained 30MB of files - there's five files in it somewhere that have been extracted to who knows where LOL

Would it be worth not using Stuffit and trying one of the programs suggested above?

Did you look in StuffIt Expanbder's prefs to see where its default download location is? I find it works OK but doesn't handle password protected archives from memory. The others I mentioned are free & small downloads.

Opening multiple-file .rar archives.
Can anyone suggest a program to open .rar archives with multiple parts; .001 .002 etc

I tried Split & Concat which did not work. I tried UnRarX a while ago but that did not work either.
