Ripping DVD audio

Ok, so I've got a bunch of live DVDs of artists i enjoy, i was wondering if there is a way of ripping the audio to separate files for listening on my ipod...

I know i can do it via the whole osex, bbdemux, ac3decode, itunes, ipod, but is there an easier way?

Jim.

Not sure if this is quite what you're after, but Mac The Ripper is able to do this. Never done it myself though.

why not just rip it to your hd, then open each individual track in quicktime player, then export it as a .aiff file ?

Another simpler option (but maybe slower) would be to just use Wiretap Pro or Audio Hijack to record the audio, then hit play in DVD player.

found the best solution....

Using mac the ripper to rip .vob files for each chapter (automatic)
then saving the .vob files as aiff with MPEGstream clip
