Forgie that's very cynical of you... but probably true. I always put my eMac to sleep but I'm sure a restart does some good - ie. cleans up memory and stuff.

I usually notice that after a restart, apps take longer to load (OSX caches app launches) but general stuff seems to be faster (memory will be in plentiful supply).
