iChat 4-way

I was trying to set up ichat to do a 4 way video conferencing within a home network among 4 macs via iChat, Bonjour. However, I was only able to two two way and unable to initiate multi person conference. The computers were 2 X MacBook, 1XiMac (intel), 1XMacBook Pro. We were all on a linksys router connected wirelessly.

Is there something that;s preventing me from video chatting 4-way on iChat Bonjour?

It should work fine. When you see the contacts in your Bonjour buddy list do they show the multi-camera icon or a single camera icon? If it's only the single camera you might want to manually set your Quicktime streaming speed rather than leaving it on automatic.

Also, I think it is only the person who initiates the chat that can add additional participants. The easiest way to start a multi-party chat is to -click each of the participants in the buddy list so that they are all highlighted and then click the camera icon at the bottom of the buddy list window.

I have always wondered what the cause of this was. Thanks.
