Parellels and VPN

Hi all. some suggestions are appreciated
I have a Windows XP laptop with Contivity VPN client 6.2 installed
I have a Macbook pro, latest updated SW with Parallels installed
I successfully created an exact image of my work XP laptop and everything works as it should except for VPN stability.... any help appreciated

On the windows laptop VPN stays connected fine for hours on end. When using Parallels and the XP image on my mac, the VPN contivity client connects successfully and I can do everything as I should, BUT unless there is full time activity through the VPN connection, the VPN client disconnects every 90 seconds or so. It then reconnects fine but a minute or two later disconnects again. All Contivity client settings are exactly the same as the original XP laptop VPN settings that remains connected

Ideas????

Thanks, Rob

Have you tried tinkering with the keepalive setting in the Contivity client?

Also - did you know there is a Mac native Contivity client (it's made by Apani) - I've used it and it does work.
