Not saving to desktop

hey, i just tired an hour ago to save some documents and picture files to my desktop and nothing appears on my desktop..... it seems to work well then when i check my desktop nothing is there but my original icons..... when i take screenshots they also do not appear.... iv tested saving in word, photoshop .........i hope someone can help me

Tried saving them somewhere else? What program are you trying to save from?

I assume you have tried restarting ?
It happens to lots of people every now and then and a restart normally solves it

Restart Finder.
Or the result should come up if you search with Spotlight.

Ahh good 'ole Finder

Lets hope this much rumored overhaul of finder actually comes in Leopard, its a bit of a sick dog

Apple Finder memory bug been with us all along. The only way is to do what windows should have done. Start again from the bottom up.

wow my first osx problem ... they say you allways remember your first

hahah i thought osx was flawless but besides this little bug it seems good.
