Best app for ripping audio CD

I have ripped all my Cds using iTunes (192 AAC). The other day, I was told that iTunes isn't the best app for ripping. Is this the case? If so, what should I be using?

iTunes is just fine, its codecs are pretty top-notch.

I have absolutely no compliants with iTunes ripping AAC at 192. I listened to a MP3 at 260 or so recently and honestly it sounded like crap in comparison.

I doubt if i could hear the difference between AAC 192 and lossless, although admittedly my hearing is not quite perfect.
