disco (the app) is pretty (i'm sure matt is kinda pretty too) but its a fucking nightmare to work with (i'm sure matt is...)

just a quick one.. doesnt iWork come with and M$ excel equiv called numbers???

Whats a good program to rip audio cd's to MP3 (192kps), and hopefully/preferably Get CD Data from the net.

Yup. iTunes is the one. Just adjust the importing preferences by selecting:
iTunes > Preferences > Advanced > Importing > MP3/192kbps

iTunes - have a look in the preferences (advanced - importing) from memory
edit - way too sloooooow

My question is, surely there is a free gui for compression/expansion? I would have thought $50 us was a bit pricey for a basic utility like that?
