Multiple User Accounts

Okay i'm going crazy trying to work out why I can't add any extra user accounts. I had them running great before , but after a disaster trying to install WIndows through bootcamp I had to do a re-install of OS X and have been busy setting everything as it was before my disaster .
I have added the account with no problems but when I log out or restart only the one user account shows in the login screen . I have gone through the options but I can't see anything that would hide or not allow me to login to this extra account .
I am setting up the new account as a standard user and I'm the administrator. I have actually already added files to this account and I would just start again and delete it but what would happen to the files that I moved to it . Any help would be appreciated .

Thanks , Mez

Go back to System Preferences/Accounts
There is an option that allows you to show all users on the login screen.
Double check this first.
