I need to purchase this soon (going o/s at the end of the month so want to take advantage of TRS).. I notice that Microsoft are offering rebates right now for Office on Windows.. and so I was just wondering is there any chance they will be doing the same for MAC say within the next 3 weeks?

Well next week at MacWorld there is a good chance an all new Apple Office suite is coming out.
It will be a lot cheaper than Office, and have full compatability with it.
So if I was you, I'd wait until MacWorld on Janurary 12th.

To answer your question about the rebates, Mac:Office is usually quite independent from Windows Office, so the probability there will be a rebate is pretty low.

they are offering a rebate on the windows version because there may be a new version coming out and they want to clear their stocks.
