Cannot print from Quark 7?
I've just installed quark 7 at work. Our printer is a Xerox 1250 with Fiery EXP12. Cannot print from Quark 7 (worked fine with Q.6). All Adobe and Office programs work fine!!
Please help.

Are you receiving any error messages from Quark?
Can you view its log?

I second Clockwork's option. Also, have you upgraded to 7.2? I did that as soon as I installed version 7, as according to the Quark forums, it fixed a lot of bugs. Does the file spool to the printer and then die, or can you not even select the printer?

IS Quark 6 & 7 NATIVE TO 10.4.8?
I have updated my machine on friday night to tiger. Quark is the onlu software gining me issues.
I have a G5 with no intel chip.

Yes - both are native to Mac OS 10.4.8 and G5 (inteless). See above for former poster's questions on error messages... ?

I'm running Quark 7.02 on a G5 Powermac, running 10.4.2. Quark 7 is universal binery, so it will run on PowerPC and Intel Macs. I would not think that your operating system is causing the problem. As I mentioned earlier, is the document spooling to the printer and not printing, or can you not "select" the printer at all in the print dialog box?

Rang Quark sending me new Pdd settings - xerox problems!
And yes lads what mentioned is happening!

Open the Print Center in: HD / Applications folder / Utilities folder.
Hold down your option key and activate Print Center - and keep option key down, as you click: Add.
If USB or AppleTalk appears in the button, click that button once and scroll down to: Advanced.
Next to Printer Model, click on Generic and scroll down to: Xerox - and beneath Xerox, can you scroll the list to see: DocuColo 1250 ?

so your printing is fine with V6? can you write a PDF from Quark? try it... let us know.

Nothing.... updated with latest xerox drivers off site. Still doesn't work.
No pdf. No printout.

Since I updated to tiger 10.4.8 I cannot print with Quark 6. |

Folks really "are" trying to help you out here. It's a tad difficult to do this if you keep a running update on companies you've called, over the rather helpful : question / answer method.
