New Intel Mac's and Windows 2000 Server?
Hi all,

What I am keen to know is if Windows XP pro under bootcamp on the Apple has any limitations compared to a normal PC?

I want to get a 17" Imac with the core2 due and the x1600 video card and be able to run XP pro on it that will connect to a Windows 2000 server using Active Directory.

Any advice or help muchly appriciated.

I would say its about the same as a PC, just install the apple drivers and it should work

There are no limitations at all - it's Windows running nativley, no emulation, no funny-stuff. An Apple computer with an Intel CPU and a Dell/HP/You-Name-It are the same internally.

when you install windows on bootcamp your mac is a pc in every way and matter, bootcamp provides you with the drivers which will allow you to use everything on the imac under windows (except webcam).

so you just connect to the windows 2000 server normally.
