easy way to find locked items?

I have a user who is having issues, who is trying to copy a large amount of data to the network drive (as it's worked well in the past), as I suspect, it may be locked items that aren't letting him access it as he's got the storage to transfer it.

"The operation cannot be completed because you do not have the sufficient privileges for some of the items."

Is there an easy way to locate quickly where the locked files are? and perhaps an easy way to unlock multiple files?

You could give BatChmod a go.
It will bulk change privileges.

if they try and copy from the system/library, some files won't copy that are part of the os!

What do you get under Ownership and Permissions in the Info box - for the folders as a whole and also for some of the sub-folders/files?

I got this once when i set up a new account and dragged stuff from the old account to the desktop then into the new account.

I can say that "apply to enclosed items" in Get Info does not do it.

I sorted it out by dragging to an external and then back onto the laptop.

Bizarre but it works.
