Good eve

MS Word has thrown a wobbly on my G5. When I try to copy some text and then paste to a new area, it freezes .... and also MS error report doesnt work when this happens.

I thought at first that it was a problem taking segments from docs produced at work on Pc's, but this eve, I can't cut and paste from a mac produced doc.

Any clues as to what the problem may be and how to fix same? Greatly appreciated

Is it happening only on the one doc?

If so, it might be a doc corruption which can usually be remedied by doing a "Maggie".

To do a Maggie, copy everything in the text except for the last paragraph mark (if you don't see paragraph marks, go to Preferences > View and check View all in Non Printing Characters)

Then open a new document and paste the text.

Of course, you might encounter your freeze again when you try to paste so maybe paste into TextEdit first, copy again then paste into a new Word doc. You will lose all formatting doing this but you will still be able to work.

No, it seems to be a problem with a number of docs unfortunately, but I'll try that
