I'd like to setup a situation where we are restricting users to only be able to view certain websites on the web.
I.E

User 1. is only able to view www.google.com.au and www.yahoo.com
User 2. is only able to view www.ninemsn.com.au
User 3. is only able to view www.appletalk.com.au

etc...

Currently we have a Redhat box that looks after our http traffic.
I've yet to see this work successfully in a workplace.

Does anyone know of any software that could allow this?

We only have MS Windows workstations...

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
isoprophlex.

Despite the fact a Mac isn't involved at all in this scenario, I will make a quick suggestion on how to do it in Linux. You need a proxy server which caches every request. Then on the server are rules you setup to allow or disallow content based on these rules. http://dansguardian.org/?page=news Dansguardian is one, Squid is another. An easy solution (toss away the Redhat box, espically if you're a small business and don't have a network admin full-time) is to use something like ClarkConnect - http://www.clarkconnect.com/
