Is this a recent thing?
I haven't used it for the past 6 months or so (ichat and AIM) but before that I never really had any dramas with it.

Ive never had a any dramas with it using the official app over many, many years. Except when using Adium (which Ive only tried out over the last couple of weeks) which seems to have a tendency to disconnect every now and then.

Never had a problem with MSN....except when using something other than MS Messenger or MSN messenger.

Adium, when using MSN, uses the exact same network as the regular MSN client :P

That hardly helps when other people you need to talk to are on MSN only. Adium is good, but it isn't an alternative to the MSN network, just an alternative to other clients.
