i know there is probably a huge reason, even valid ... but WHY do you run XP on a Mac?.... are there programs on the OS that you cant get here ?

estoyloco - maybe hobart doesn't have a mac, and dreams of one.
Great mod work though - if i were you i'd get rid of the shortcut arrows for a start.

indeed, there is no XP for the PowerPC CPU (at least, not available to the public) so he cannot be running XP on his Mac. my guess, too, is that the poor man is Mac-less!!

im not running windows on a mac i have a dell and dude it sucks those are just programs that are modded or coustom made (the browser)

i didnt mod them myself i just use them but my frend is a modder and he had a icon package on wincusomize that was exactly like a mac 10.3 and it was at the top for about 2 weeks untill he pissed of the admin
and yes i am mac-less

also i have a question - what is the program / how do you display the total and remaining hard drive space in the text of the HDD icons?

Click on your desktop to activate the finder, goto View -> Show View Options (Command + J) and check the box labeled "Show item info"

74.4GB, 45.74GB free on my harddisk. Its an 80 GB harddisk, but i think its lost a bit of space to formatting.

fyi: that image file was too large to upload.
Try compressing it a little with preview's "export" feature. (File>Export>Jpeg...)

Do you have any idea how much time u have saved me.. i never know how to quickly make files "internet or email safe", i mean make them into smaller sizes... i have been using photoshop....

i was searching Preview for days since i first used it for this function.... the easiest program i had ever used for this was 'Paint", for windows...

Heya,

There's an even easier way to do this -- install 'QuickImage' from Pixture Studio (it's free). Allows you to do a simple right click on the image in the finder to change the format, compress the image and lots of other things. I've been using it for a while now -- it works pretty well.
