i like the new iTunes but im finding it to beachball a bit and whats up with the 'shinier' metal UI? why cant they make it unified with the rest of the OS? is this what the metal window UI will look like in 10.7? i guess ill get used to it look usual with Apple's new UI designs.

was expecting the camera to go in the Touch, but from Jobs himself, apparently they want to keep the price of the Touch down to target it as a gaming device Steve Jobs on iPod Touch, Future Products and Ice Cream - Mac Rumors.

I have exactly the same complaints, especially with the speed of iTunes. IT's like a dog!

Scrolling in the store is laggy. Beachballs when syncing/downloading etc..

im finding dragging stuff to iTunes and just normal track playing makes it slow as a dog.

probably just early release symptoms. hopefully its not 'bloaty'.

Lads, I've uncovered something pretty good. It's only because I'm a DVD ripper, maniacal about resolution and bitrate, or it would have gone unnoticed. You can sync video at much-better-than-iPod quality. Full details in my post here.

So.... what is the difference now between the iPhone, and the iPod Touch? A camera, and a... phone?

Just ordered an iPod touch 8GB for a friend using the MacTalk link.

Should be around $10-15 for you decryption.

Not sure if you can save this but try anyway.

It's also in iTunes.

Love the software updates!! Working nicely... although it did crash once. The new iTunes stores is great. Awesome quality previews (which may have already existed today...) but like all Apple things, it's just so pretty! Not so sure about the metallic finish look though.

Now if only Nikon would update its software then I can update to Snow Leopard already!!

"It's only rock 'n' roll" seems to have been a complete misnomer for the event.

Would've been apt if the remastered Beatles collection had shown up in iTunes, but Apple ended up lamely announcing "The new iPod nano. Now rocking a video camera…" instead. I do like the new Nano…but it neither rocks nor rolls.

They were gonene! (as i dont use them at all)
Un-plugged though and they were back , on the second page.

Except that the line 'It's only rock 'n' roll, but I like it' was written by Keith Richards/Mick Jagger. You'd be stupid to advertise or hint at a Beatles event with Rolling Stones lyrics.

Anyway, the iTunes LP announcement fits with the rock & roll theme.

Organising apps in iTunes is only slightly better than doing it on the phone. Pretty average implementation. I don't have a better solution, but I figured they would.

So is there a reason why the Nano can power a video camera at 30 FPS but the iPhone/iPhone 3G can't <_<.

Sure, it's common knowledge that the phrase is from the Stones, but by the same token it seems equally stupid to use Rolling Stones lyrics and then have an event that has nothing to do with the band. Something more than the Touch camera was missing, I reckon.

Still a "meh" fit, IMHO...
