DO NOT BUY 20" iMac

FIRSTLY
I am an unfortunate 20" owner, so I speak from experience. The screens have a colour fading fault which Apple refuses to acknowledge (check Apple's Discussion Forums if you don't believe me, they have a whole section for 20" displays).

Colours are too dark at the top of the screen and too faded at the bottom of the screen... small black text breaks up in the lower 3rd of the screen. It's a shocker! Every model since August last year has this screen and they ALL have the problem.

The most candid comment from an Apple Genius in the US was - well it's not for color professionals. Not for anyone who wants something to be the same colour, no matter where it is on your screen, either...

SECONDLY
iMacs were due for a rev in August, so I wouldn't recommend anyone buying ANY iMac until September updates are announced & we know what the product transition is going to be.

You might save $100 on an iMac now and find Apple drops the prices to $1000 in September (making the current models their 'entry' consumer models) and releases Quad core iMacs for current prices.

That's my 2’ worth... stick to the 24", but after they've been updated.
