(umm) i need help buying an imac or any other mac that fits my budget and needs.as i was looking up imac pictures i stumbled across this website.and i know someone knows how to buy a mac(just like i know how to buy a pc).anyways my budget is 80$ to 125$.also i am willing to sell my dell insp. 1100 p4 2.4 ghz 20 gigs. for a suitable price around 400-500$.so please help me sell my dell and buy a mac!by the way,my i'm selling my dell because it is being gay with its kernel problems and i thought it whould be cheaper to get a used mac,or mabe a mac mini!
i am in current contact with an ebay seller here is the imac specs and pic;
This is for a Blueberry Apple iMac Computer. It has a 350 MHz processor, 128 MB of RAM, 6 GB Hard Drive and a CD Drive. This unit has MAC OS 9.04 installed. It is in good condition cosmetically with a few scratches. It powers up fine and all functions work. This unit was recently removed from service from a working enviroment.
Includes:
1 - Blueberry Apple iMac 350 Mhz Computer
1 - Power cord
Does not include keyboard, mouse, software or manuals
Mod edit: Removed hot-linked image.

Have you seen one of these in the flesh? Personally, I find the screen can be a bit of a strain on the eyes, then again I don't have very good eyesight.
About how much is it going to cost you? You may be able to get a better deal elsewhere that includes keyboard, mouse and manual, maybe even some software.

Hey buddy,
That mac you've got pictured there is pretty old these days, especially with OS X 10.4 Tiger approaching. Maybe you should save up just a little more cash (Use the money from your Dell?) and start looking at eMacs, both new and old. Second hand iBooks are also quite cheap. For a solid OS X experience try for a machine with 512 mb of ram.
If this is your first mac experience you'll want it to be a good one

sherlockmaster,
First of all, is there any chance you could increase your budget, $80-$125 is pretty small.
What exactly do you need a computer for?
Without knowing too much about what you want out of a computer, I would suggest looking into an eMac or iMac G4.

In that case, the machine you posted may turn out to be a little disappointing. Maybe same up some more cash and keep shopping round.
Maybe you can try posting in the 'Wanted to buy' forum, something may turn up.

I think you will be quite happy with the Mini. Good thing is you should be able to use your monitor, keyboard and mouse from your Dell.

if ur happy with ur current screen, go for the mac mini. get the 1.25Ghz model and u can successfully overclock it to 1.42Ghz if u want see the guide @ http://www.lbodnar.dsl.pipex.com/macmini/ only if ur comfortable with this kind of stuff though....
If you have a USB keyboard and mouse, that's great, just plug them in(to the Mac Mini) and enjoy. If not, sell them and pick up a USB keyboard and mouse @ the swap meets: http://comtrader.com.au/
