Mac Pro allowable upgrades
Just a couple of questions regarding the Mac Pro

1. What does Apple regard as user upgradable in the Mac Pro without voiding the warrantee?
I’m assuming that like the iMac ram is ok and probably hard disc’s including the original.
I realise any components must be Mac compatible.

2. Does the Mac Pro have an internal speaker or do you need external speakers for any audio? Even for basic operating system sounds.

1. hard drives and memory is user serviceable.

2. it has 1 internal speaker, although you are better off getting a proper set of speakers.

Yes I realise I'd need to add speakers just wondered about a speaker straight out of the box. Nothing in the spec's mentioned a speaker.

Would adding a DVD/CD burner be concidered user upgradable?

Location: Hobart, Tasmania
RAM, Optical Drives, Hard Drives and cards are all fully user upgradeable. CPUs I am pretty sure are not, although it can be easily done, and is a great idea if your Mac Pro has just run out of warranty!
