New iMac TNT Tracking - Whats it mean and who got theirs?
My iMac has arrived (weekend) and cleared customs. Now I am trying to understand what this means?
13 Aug 2007 06:47 Sydney Out For Delivery
12 Aug 2007 14:59 Sydney Released From Customs
Will I get it today?
Has anyone got theirs via TNT and what other steps are there?

Really? It was CTO'd overseas. Why would Apple Australia need to take it from TNT and then return it to them to deliver?

When Dad got his CTO 17" MacBook Pro, we ordered it Friday, was sent Friday arvo, arrived and cleared Sydney Customs Sunday, and was in Darwin 8am Monday morning. I'd say you'd have it today or tomorrow!

I couldn't understand the tracking system messages in the early stages either, but then as the order progressed it made sense.
I found the tracking system work well, eg. I was out this morning, so I logged on and found that I had missed the courier and a card was left in the letterbox.
What was not so impressive is that if you miss a drop off they don't return to the address for another 48 hours!!! You can go the airport and pick up (not an option). Bummer. 2 more days to wait.
BTW Zeke, I don't really want to look at a pair of boobs when logging onto a site like this - a site for everyone, including people with boobs.
Cheers

Welcome to TNT hell! This seems to be the same flaming game I had to play when I was expecting my Mac mini to be deliver. All I can advise is contact the local office and arrange a face to face meeting for delivery, if you are not home they will take it back to the depot.
Grrr, this is why I will never order anything from the Apple on-line store ever again!

^ Personally i think that's rediculous.
If you're getting stuff delivered that needs to be signed for, you need to be there to sign for it!
Thats why i always get stuff sent to work - and i've never ever had an issue.

A really good point. Just recently I accepted a delivery for my neighbour (the delivery driver, politely, jumped me when I pulled into my driveway). When I spoke to my neighbour to give him the goods he complained that he had had trouble trying to get the goods delivered for weeks. He and his partner are out all day from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm every week day. What was he thinking? Couriers don't generally deliver at night.
