Leopard Upgrade Vouchers?

Due to my PowerBook significantly failing to cut the mustard lately, I'm in the market for a new Mac, this time it will be a desktop.

Assuming that new iMac's are released next week, and that they are reasonably priced and quick to get hold of, it will be one of those.

My question is, will Apple ship machines between now and October with Leopard upgrade vouchers? They did a similar thing with Tiger, (that all machines not bundled with it after launch were upgraded for free) but have they done anything else in the past where this is concerned?

I'm curious because the promo for Leopard seems to be ramping up, and having to pay another few hundred bucks in about two months for an update would royally suck. But if it comes down to it, that's what I'll do.

EDIT: 400th post! Yipee

Apple Australia's policy in the past only allowed for a two week grace-period -- if you purchased a new machine within two weeks of the release of a major point-release OS upgrade, you were entitled to a 'free' (approx: $20 in media cost and p&p) upgrade once you sent Apple a copy of your purchase receipt with machine serial number.

My hunch is, they will do the same this time.
