The guy used a 1.66 unit, and talks about how he modified the logic board and retaining pins to insert the CPU, goes through all the mod details then seems to apologise that the Apple warranty is void!
Oh yes, he wants about $1500.

You don't need to modify anything, just drop in a T-series (notebook) C2D and you have a C2D mini. I'm thinking of upgrading mine down the track this way.
