Cheap Mac for photo showing

MINITOWER - APPLE POWERMAC, G3 PROCESSOR 300 MHZ, 128 MB RAM, 6 GB HARD DRIVE, CD ROM DRIVE, AQUA IN COLOUR, (SN: SG916DBDG9D), NO KEYBOARD, CLONE MOUSE, POWER CABLE. (SN: (SN: SG916DBDG9D),) (82893-312)

If I was to buy one of these from GraysOnline would it be able -
  • to plug into a Samsung CRT pc monitor ?
  • run Tiger ?
  • can I use my copy of Tiger that came with my Mac Mini ?
  • are GraysOnline safe ?

I want a cheap computer for my ederly Father to be able to show him my digital photos, they look terrible on the TV. I have a spare old but working 15" Samsung CRT monitor.
Would the Powermac be alright or should I try to get one of the IMAC G3, BLUE 350MHZ, 64MB .

Rodney

I'd go for a good compact iMac G3 - 400MHz / 768MB should be fine. It'll take Panther or Tiger fine too, though you'd probably want to make sure it had a 10GB HD or higher. Also, you'd best be off with one that has a DVD player in it.

Small, compact, and easy to carry around.

Though ... it may not be able to use the Tiger Installer from your Mini - as they make them Model Specific. I have a few Tiger Discs that'll install onto any older Apple Mac if your interested.

PM if interested.

cheers,

cw

Does anyone have one of these for sale ?
I'm looking for a very cheap mac for my elderly Father to be able to show him my digital photos, they look terrible on the TV.
I have a spare old but working 15" Samsung CRT monitor, so maybe a G3 mini tower, G3 imac or something else that would suit photo viewing on a small budget.
