Funny little thing - uses standard 3.5" SCSI drives, based on Duo 230 mobo, inbuilt Stylewriter 1200 and Apple color scanner! Would have been five year to seven years ahead of it's time if Apple ever decided to release it. Now multifunction devices are all over the place!

I've had the same expression put upon me at high school, when on the way to class, on a hard garbage collection day, someone turfed an Apple IIe. I took it with me on my way to class and shoved it in my locker for the day until I got home to discover it fully working
People just don't understand :P

A stool which I still use for Star gazing, perfect hieght.
and a 2ft fish tank stand that the missus uses as a plant stand...I HAD plans for that thing. But you gotta keep the peace some how. Like justifying going to LAN's...but I got you all these albums and movies you like.

Wish someone in Condo would chuck out a dual 2GHz G5 ... Somehow I can't see it happening though.

LOL, i can imagine the reaction you would've gotten. FYI, this guy i was talking about was a PeeCeeer.
"Why are you getting a Classic 1 for 20 bucks this year when you got a Classic II for 10 bucks last year!?!?!?!?" - another PeeCee friend commenting on my purchase of an original Macintosh back in 1999

yeah i drove passed a apple //e the other day, complete screen, CPU, mouse and disk drive. when i went back though someone had thought it fun to smash the screen but i got the rest and plugged it into my sony lcd display, quite nice and works fine. I found i can download programs put them into a //e emulator, save the program as an .aiff, put it on minidisc and use that like the old tape machine! works flawlessly, i was playing lemonade stand in about 15 minutes! (1 min of set up, 14 mins load time) te he!

Cool! I didn't know that you could use a minidisc like th eold tape recorder. I wonder if you could do that with, say, a CD player....

The best find I've seen was an Apple 21" CRT display in a dumpster. It was the larger version of the 1705 display. It had a slightly cracked and scuffed body, but worked perfectly. The friend who found it sold it for $600.
