I could be wrong, but I think repairing one would cost you a lot more than buying a secondhand unit.A new one would of course cost that much more again. Have you looked on ebay ? Or try microseconds in Sydney - www.microseconds.com.au

Both of these companies do repairs as well as selling secondhand Mac parts and I have found them to both be great to do business with. The PSU is pretty easy to replace in these models and well within the scope of even a beginner ( I only say that because I don't know your level of expertise ) ;-)
