New Mac Convert Question (ref: iLife)
Hi there,

I've only just today bought my first Imac on ebay which hopefully will be here early next week

However I still have a zillion questions about the mac OS.

Does the software iLife come with OS X 10.4 at all or do I need to purchase it seperately?

It may be preloaded onto your new purchase in any case. Sometimes it happens.
Don't necessarily run out and buy new software straight away before checking.

It was one a baught on ebay second hand, its an Apple iMac G4 - 17" Screen with OS X 10.4
a very sweet looking system

An imac would have come with ilife. That model probably had ilife 4.0 or 5.0, which are missing things such as iweb and some of the cool options in things like imovie and idvd. Also, if you have a lot of photos iphoto will load slowly compared with the current version.
Of course there is no guarantee that iLife is still installed. Did the sale include the original discs that came with the computer?

I've no idea if the original disks are part of the purchase, But I certianly hope so.
