After using a 5 button mouse everyday for over a year, I would find it hard to go back, even when using a 3 button mouse I still go to press the buttons that mine has.
Ashamed as I am to admit it, Microsoft does seem to be good at sticking there label on some mice

I'm gonna go against the majorite here and say that the Apple Pro mouse is the easiest mouse to use. Period.
You can use it left or right handed. It looks good. It's comfortable to use.
I'll second decryption also. It feels like you get everything done quicker, cleaner. Just a great overall feel I guess...
Indeed I think the world would be a much better place if there were only one button mice, interfaces would by way more intuitive and when you tell people to double click they wouldn't ask "left, or right?"

I love it. I have a three button mouse for my laptop, and it feels so uncomfortable. I have used one button mouses since 97 (when I bought my first Mac) and it feels so natural for me. I seriously hope Apple never bring out multi button mouses. For older people, for younger kids, and for people who don't like any complications (ie people who just use computers for the basics) I think it's great.

For 3D work (especially Maya) it's near impossible with a single button mouse, and life without a scroll wheel... can't imagine it. Sadly there's not many nice looking 3 button mice out there. I've got a nasty cheap logitech... it's spoiling the whole apple aesthetic considerably!

I have to say for day to day stuff the single button is ok.
The Pro mouse is very well balanced and easy in the hand.
But a scroll wheel is the thing it lack the most. I'm getting by with a PowerMate
since I refuse to use either a Microsoft or Logitech mouse on the G5.
On the PB I prefer to use a Microsoft mouse, however the wife doesn't like it as it's a little too big for her hands.
So the main reason Apple haven't introduced a scroll wheel is purely a styling issue ?

I understand that good key-stroke skills can make for a good workflow with a one button mouse (I wish my wrist would stop aching) ... but I think a good 3 button mouse is really needed. There are times your drinking your coffee, scratching your ear or sitting with your feet up on the desk that prevents that left hand from reaching the keyboard.
I love my black Bluetooth mini 3 button mouse I got from Strathfiield Car Radio on special for $79 ( including a dongle you can sell to PC friends to make it more like $40).
Now I can really get some bad posture going

Hell no.
The day Opera (browser) introduced mouse gestures was the day the one button mouse died.
For those who don't know, with nothing more than a two button mouse you can:
- Go Back
- Go Forwards
- Close Window
- Open Blank Window
- Open Duplicate Window
- Reload
- Go up a level in site structure (e.g. www.pyromusic.com/bobsaget/is/god would go up one level to www.pyromusic.net/bobsaget/is/ and if you did it again www.pyromusic.net.bobsaget/)
etc..etc. (there are literally hundreds of things that you can perform)
With the addition of the school wheel you can open links in new tabs, scroll through open tabs (like apple+tab/alt+tab for windows) and so much more. It makes my browsing lightning fast and I've been using them since day one. Without guestures I don't know where I'd be, and that folks, is why I will never use my one button apple mice again.

I don't masturbate at the computer so I have no need for a multi-button mouse
I love the one button mouse, I would never use anything else. I always have my left hand sitting on the control/option/command keys so I can get everything done much faster through short cuts than I can mousing about.

I don't know why they even include it. If they added a scroll wheel, then maybe it would be good enough to include with the eMac for schools, but for everything else it is useless. My first thing I did when I unpacked my Power Mac G5 was to get rid of the single button mouse and plug my 2 button + scroll wheel mouse in.

I have an Apple BT mouse, but packed it away for the white Radtech BT500.
If only Apple would get off their stubborn asses and build a 2 button mouse with scroll wheel.
