I have a LaserWriter II NTX, which isn't working.

Originally I stopped using it as it was not taking paper from the feeder tray.

Now, when I turn the printer on, it does not warm up like usual, but instead the paperjam & no paper lights come on.

There is no paper jam.... there is paper in the cartridge...

Anyone know what I can do to fix this? No one around here (Darwin NT) will touch it.

When you say this, does that mean that the LW doesn't become warm after a while? Leave it on for 15 minutes, and if you're fuser doesn't warm up it could be that. Or, something simple like the paper pick-up roller might be worn out. I'de clean the rollers/paper detection switch with Isopropyl Alcohol wipes.

Also, try reseating the SIMMS on the NTX's logic board.

This site outlines the error codes (that is, the combination of flashing lights) on a Laserwriter.
