Is this Imac G5 worth the money?
Hi guys im looking into purchasing an Imac G5 PPC 1.8GHz,1G RAM,160GB,Superdrive
doesnt have Bluetooth nor Airport used 2.5 yrs old for $1000.
This machine is an ex-design company workhorse.
Is this machine worth the money and suitable for 3d and video editing for uni?
I'll be using programs like Maya,Shake and Final Cut on it.
Also how much live can i still reap out of this machine as i will be using the machine for approx the next 2-3 yrs before i upgrade.

Nah, not worth it.

You can pick up a used 17" Intel iMac for around ~$1000-1200 and since all those apps you want to use are now on universal binaries, it's *way faster*
