Gday all,

Does anyone know an easy way to tell is my airport express and airport extreme are working at full speed ?

I cant find anything obvious in the control panel and ifconfig gives me "autoselect" for interface en1...

Im aware that the wirless should step down from 54Mbit depending on the signal but I have nfi what speed I am getting.

Download MenuMeters, which puts various useful meters in your menu bar. You can then transfer a file between two computers and watch what speed you get. Generally though, wireless speeds will vary considerably depending on environmental factors. If you're on broadband, the speed will be faster than the broadband speed in most cases however.

The 'Network Utility' application in your Utilities folder will tell you the interface's link speed.

Mine says '54Mb' here.
