some advise.. new imac or keep powerbook?

HI all,
First of all, I have been drinking too much this arvo, so if I sound funny, please excuse me. Had some friends over.
Here is my big BIG problem. I have a great little g4 powerbook 12" 1.5ghz. I bought it secondhand in Auastralia, just before I went back to Holland. Now I am living in my new place, which is pretty cool, hip, trendy, blabhblahablah... Anyway. I am thinking of getting either a new 20" screen or sell my powerbook and buy an imac. I am a bit of a design freak and want everything neat. So that's why I like the iMac. However, actually the powerbook is fast enough, just not enoug screen real estate. What would you do? Sell the powerbook and get a 2-" imac? Or keep things and buy a cheap ass screen on the side? It might look bad though. I know..shallow.. but that's me. Especially with a few beers....

cheers,
Paul

If the powerbook is enough, why not buy a 20" or 23" monitor (that powerbook will easily do 1920x1200) to plug into when you're home, and a wireless mouse and keyboard. That way you're still portable if you need to be!

Buy a nice dell 20" on the side that will look good and help you out perfectly.
Where about do you live in holland??
I just moved from holland to asutralia an am living in Hobart right now.
Used to live in Hilvarenbeek under Tilburg.
anyway good luck.

keep the powerbook and get an external lcd! 12'' PB are so sexy, light and still powerful for daily applications..... in six months time you'll be still thinking of upgrading, but just imagine what will be out there then!
if it's doing the job for you fine, stick with what you have

If you like everything neat, the iMac is the way to go.

I've got the same problem now. With the upcoming release of leopard plan on getting a new mac. But what do i replace my 12" PB with.. Was thinking of a 15" MacBook Pro, but also like idea of keeping the 12" PB (as really the resale value is no longer there) and getting a 17/20" iMac.. hrmmm

I already have the imac 20" and the ibook for mobility.
If you are not a high end user this is a very good way to go.
Imac looks clean but so does your powerbook.

Go for the iMac, it will look great with your 'designer' fit-out.
