Default iPod ALWAYS syncing

Hi there,

I got my new iPod shuffle the other day, and as I play iTunes, everytime I skip a song or something, the iPod will start syncing, it does this everytime. It's really annoying and sometimes I get some message that goes "waiting for iPod".

Any ideas of what's going on?

Cheers, Ricky.

Check what software version it is using. Perhaps that would help. Maybe it's stuck on an old version or something?

iTunes is up to date, and says the iPod is too.

Um, when you play a song through itunes, are you playing it from the Music Library or from the shuffle?

If you were playing from the shuffle it might be updating the database on the shuffle with 'play counts' or something - and then since it's changed, syncing it back to the Music Library. That's all I can think of.

I thought of that too, but I'm playing through the Music Library.

Try leaving the ipod connected, and just pressing the eject button from within itunes... this way it should still charge...

Also, is the ipod synced to that library? Or to another one??
