HELP ! Blocked while Firmware updating

I was trying last night to install bootcamp sa it was necesarly to upgrade my iMac Core Duo 17 firmware. It sounds simply but my thumb slipped on the power button while the progress bar on boot time was moving. So I have now a nonbootable imac intel. The problem is that in the DVD drive is a CD which I cannot eject to insert my Firmware Restoration CD.
Does anyone know how to manually eject a CD from the drive? Is there any hidden hole in the slot drive?
Pleeeaseeeee...

PS. Is is a Matshita UJ-846-B model. Not found any link about emergency eject hole.

No this will not work. OpenFirmware is not on Intel Macs it is only on PowerPC macs. Intel Macs use EFI.

What CD is in the slot? Have you tried following the instructions to restore the firmware? I seem to recall that the Mac will eject any disc that is not the firmware restoration CD. Does anyone else have the same recollection. (I'm a bit cautious because we are dealing with firmware here.)

Just more proof for my pudding that Inthell Macs are second-class computers.

"More power per watt" my arse.

Brains, that isn't a helpful comment. Open Firmware was its own nightmare. You could render a motherboard rubbish with a couple of commands.

I haven't tried yet, but I'd be interested to know if the old "hold down the mouse button while booting" trick works to eject cd's and dvd's.

I am fairly certain it does on the Intel machines, still.

It does. I've had to do it on a few occasions.

No trick worked. I sold it by pieces. Now I own an 24" Alu.

P.S. Sorry for the time lapsed for the answer.
