Default Pre-ordering albums on iTunes muisc store

Hey all once again I am in need of some helpful knowledge. I just wanted to know if iTMS deducts your credits when you pre-order an album.

I had 51.31$ worth of credits, then I pre-ordered an album worth 20.90$, it downloaded 1 track off the album that has already been released so I assumed it deducted 20.90$ and I would have 30+ $ but I did not look at my credit pane. So after that I immediately bought another album worth 10.90. after that finished downloading I expected to have 20+ $ but when I looked at my credit pane I had 39.13$!

So I am left stumped by this, either it didnt charge me for the pre-ordered album, or I am meant to have 20.90$ in my credits when the pre-ordered album is released on the 28th of April or it wont download? Has any one else pre-ordered albums before and encountered this?

They charge you immediately when you pre-order (that's why you get the bonus stuff). The credit pane seems to have a few bugs in it where it doesn't reflect the true balance. I discovered this last week when a small charge hit my credit card because I'd used up all the pre-paid one - despite it saying I still had a bit left.

(actually I did realise it had almost all gone but I thought Apple might have stuffed up and I could get some free stuff. They didn't and I didn't)

Thanks for the response graham, my itunes account doesnt have a credit card attached to it though, vouchers only. Weird I might get this pre-ordered album for free it seems

in the interest of this artist's album on itunes not getting abused because of this I wont name them And I will report it to Apple even if I end up paying for it.
