Hey,

Im just about to order myself an imac and id like to know if the dvd drive reads/write to the minus as well as plus

that is DVD +/- R??

on the website it only says SuperDrive 8x (DVD+R DL/DVD+RW/CD-RW)

I am reasonably confident that it does. I remember the specs for my PowerMac being listed similarly, but it works fine with DVD-R.

I have an Intel iMac and I have burnt several DVD-R discs on it so it will be fine

Though you may run into problems if you attempt to burn a DL DVD-R... it doesn't seem to like them very much. DL DVD+R: No problem
