A bloke over at OSx86 Project got Vista booting on an Intel iMac. Only thing is though that it installed over OSX, so it looks like there isn't a dual-boot solution as of yet.

Yeah, you've gotta delete the EFI partition, otherwise Vista cracks the shits.

Had a good look at the up to datte article and those guys look like they're onto it.

Looks loke it'll only be a matter of time before it works properly.

Please excuse my ignorance. Are we talking Beta here? If so, how long has it been going on?
Is it fully realised - constantly being updated - more, less features etc.?

How would this go with one of the OSes installed on an external FW drive?

Yes, it's a beta. As for features, it'll probably look nothing like the Vista that will emerge as they've thrown it all up in the air and gone back to the drawing board lately (well, MS have cracked the shits with the vista developer team, anyway.)
