Hi all..

Was looking around Apple's site at the new mini and they have a few links to external sites, one of them being 123macmini. On this site was a link to http://nak.journalspace.com/?entryid=420 with some pics of a disassembled intel mini and guess what...the CPU is removable. Hopefully this will mean that it is possibloe to buy a basic mini today and in a years time or so, purchase a core duo CPU....so far this has been proven for the intel iMac (CPU is removable there too).

Bur the core duo is only a stop gap until merom, it may not be scaled up much more therefore.

All the more reason for it to be good then. Think about it. I get a 1.6G today then when Merom is out I get a high spec core duo for cheap (I'm guessing they will have 2.5's or something like that.

A bucketload more upgradability than the G4 mini anyway.

You might want to see it proven with the Mac mini first... hmm 2Ghz mac mini...
