I have the option of getting a rev a.mini 1.25 or a powermac DA 733 for the same price.

Specs:
Mini:
1.25ghz G4 Processor/256mb ram/40gb hdd and combo drive Radeon 9200 Videocard (32mb vram)

Or

Powermac G4 733

733 mhz G4 Processor/1024mb of ram/40gb hdd/cd-rw/zip-250/Geforce 2 videocard (32mb vram)

I need it for some basic video editing and as a replacement for my ageing B&W G3 450

Should I go for a faster machine or the upgradeable monster...Dont have enough for a new system..."Dissapointed groan"

Get the PowerMac becuase you can expand it, eg more then one internal hdd, graphics cards, etc..

Thats what I thaught but I was thinking the the extra mhz might have helped the mini??

The mini is credible but I already have a Dual G4 upgrade card on order so I just made up my mind!!!!...I not sure if it is a DA or a QS...Can someone tell me the differences???

On the basis of the standard optical drive and HD it sounds like a Quicksilver.

Quicksilver 733 specs

The digital audio and quicksilver machines are virtually identical internally. Same bus speed, motherboard design; you name it. Processor daughterboards will not know the difference (I run a quicksilver processor in a digital audio for example)

You could upgrade the powermac and get some decent performace out of it, but you'd have to spend quite a bit.
