Hi Guys and Girls I am Just Woundering if this is normal For this to Happen during a hardware Test the Fans of the G5 Get very loud.

Yes I believe it is normal. The fan control software is not loaded during hardware test, so the fans default to going very fast to be on the safe side.

The fans will run flat out (or pretty much)

1. In open firmware
2. In apple hardware test, or apple service diagnostic
3. In target disk mode
4. If the temp sensor fails
5. If your machine crashes
6. If your machine is working flat out, especially on a hot day.
