I think there is an option in the energy saver control panel to wake when it receives a network connection. I know I have this enabled but the option wasn't where I'd expect to find it. If you have any other machines on your network there might be some late night "chatter" :P

My iBook use to do this until I updated the airport via Apple Update.

Now its find, has never done it since.
