i have a Rev A imac G5 and i wanted to know where i can grab the software which will allow duel screen mode.

you can do this on the new imac G5's but i have seen this done with previous models, plus the VGA is basically the same across all models.

btw. what is the most resolution you can get? since the new imac g5 support up to 23inch i don't see why not a imac g5 rev a or rev b. please don't say that the graphics card isn't enought since past 64mb macs supported 23inch just fine. do you need a software which will increase the resolution since appartently apple limits it to 1024x768.

ALSO where can i grab a mini VGA cord to s-video and a mini VGA to analogue. i went to the apple site and they have bad reviews from customers reporting them as crappy, easily broken etc.

we have a Sticky at the top of the desktop forum titled "Extended / external display? imac, emac, ibook?"

Among it's contents is this link: http://www.rutemoeller.com/mp/ibook/ibook_e.html

edit: on 2nd thoughts, you've asked a few questions that'd require a new thread to answer, so i'll reopen this one.

I have a miniVGA -> VGA adaptor on my imac, and it works great. Not flimsy at all. I bought mine from a reseller who had it in stock.

The software i linked earlier will allow higher resolutions than 1024x768

You wont be able to use anything like the 23" apple display because of the analog VGA connection, you need DVI for them

best you can do is about a 19" LCD that has a VGA connector, i do beleive the 20" dell does actually have VGA connector but im not sure quality would be all that excellent

sounds like a flimsy cable, no chance you've fiddled with all the screens in the house to turn them yellow? :P
check the cable, see if there are any bent pins or broken bits on the ends, if not, take to an applestore, if its under warranty, you might get it replaced, can't remember it it covers parts.
