She will be arriving tomorrow nite at 6pm! W0000t!!!! Very excitement.

Now, question is - will my old crappy USB wireless ariel 'dongle' (i think its called) work with this baybee? i dont really want to revert to network cables again.

And.. will Tiger work on it? Its a 333. I think its running 9 atm, but i dont think i can cope :P

I would stick to Panther on a 333. And it needs at least 512Mb of RAM. I have a 350 with that setup and it runs perfectly. It didn't like tiger as much though. It ran, but not really usable.

Presuming this is an iMac, Tiger won't work on it at all. The iMac of which you speak has NO Firewire, which is a prerequisite of Tiger. USB for Panther. Just make sure the iMac has heaps of memory in it, as it will need as much as it can get its hands on. A 7200 RPM HDD won't hurt either.

I have an iMac 350 running OS 10.3.9 with 384MB RAM, and I only have performance problems when the HD gets full. Other than that it works fine. However, I don't really stress this machine with high end numerical or multimedia work or similar.

I have 9.2.2 on it as well, but I don't like to use it as the boot OS. Rather funny really since I love the classic mac OS and use many much older macs far more frequently than the iMac.
